    Taxi Line Dancer

As soon as I left the Hong Kong - Macau ferry, while waiting for my brother to show up. We were meeting after months without seeing him, on the other side of the world.

    🇲🇴🕺

    Spooky…

I had to go back and double check, and it’s a different one!

Someone has a collection of vintage Porsche cars and a fetish for this particular parking spot ?

    Back In Time

We walked by the place where we used to have breakfast when movieStar was pregnant and had an appointment at the doctor’s office.

Time for coffee and a croissant with orange juice.

    ☕️ 🥐

    Yellow

The library up the road is now having a yellow phase.

We did manage a freezing walk in the morning, lunch with my parents, and back home for the usual edit and tv. Sadly I’m still developing the skills that will enable me to do both appropriately at the same time.

    Closed

    Doors closed for now.

    Making An Entrance

We took a different route today, one I’d never done before. movieStar had walked up a huge flight of stairs once and thought it would be a good idea. It was.

Some apartment buildings have really really nice entrances. The building itself is nothing to talk about.

    Seeing Faces. Again.

We walked. It’s cold. Very cold. Now back to editing a few more photos…

    Food For Thought

Today we walked in an area known for a few theatres and restaurants. These restaurants catered mostly to the tourist crowd. Overpriced and underdelivering were two words usually spoken when considering them for a meal.

A few exceptions exist, and those are the ones locals would go to, but now they’re also closed. Theatres are not working for now, the concert hall seems empty, tourists are nowhere to be seen (at least in numbers like we were used to). The restaurants couldn’t afford to keep their doors open. The area looks sad, or sadder, than usual.

Back in the day a few more theatres existed, and were bustling with patrons. Some went out of business, one pivoted into a porn movie house, with the projection room facing the street. Kids would stand there and try to catch a glimpse from the monitor, way up, when the window was open. That one has also faded and closed years ago.

Another classic became the local Hard Rock many years ago. Others were left empty and derelict.

    Day02

Still under mandatory curfew from 1PM onwards, we’re getting up and taking care of business before that time.

Trying to edit a few more photos while tinyMovieStar deals with teething. Not easy, I can’t imagine the pain she’s in.

    First One

Heavy rain for a couple of minutes, right before we were about to leave for our January 1st first walk.

Waited a little and the sun finally made it out. And so did we.

We’re having lunch with my parents, only time for a shorter walk. But a good one. City is empty.
