    GreenDay

Wet walking, glad we got a color boost on the way.

    And also on two wheels.

    Cutlery

Ever since I can remember, from the days when I was a little boy, every home had these. Parents, grandparents, uncles,…

As far as I’m concerned, your Portuguese household is not complete without them.

When they’re old, you get new ones. Always from Mr Pires, Verdugal.

Oops! I see what you did there!

    Escalator & Books

Cold and grayish day, we had to find something to do to brighten the mood.

FNAC is open again, we went in looking for a couple more of Miffy’s books. They’re hard to find, and not available at the store, but the lady was super helpful and said they had a few at the warehouse. She took care of things and they should be delivered by tomorrow, or the next day. Yay!

tinyMovieStar, who’s going through a phase where she’s a pro at taking books down from the shelves thought she was in heaven! Thousands of neatly arranged books, all asking to be thrown down! Her eyes were shining!

We had to leave, and took the escalator. It was her first time.

Still time to pick up a lemon cake on the way home.

    All Aboard

A short, bumpy, ride from Bali, the cooler Nusa Penida awaits. Another one of the places we could be today.

    We’re VERY far.

    One Day

One day we’ll be back. ALL of us.

    🇩🇰 🗿

    Sunday

Still taking it slow, we did a tour of the neighborhood and then back home, trying to get there before the rain comes. We did.

It’s after lunch and we’re still waiting for it.

Maybe we’ll manage an episode or two of some series.

Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone

    Slightly Different Saturday

Taking advantage of the newfound freedom, our Saturday had a twist.

After the usual walk to the Farmer’s Market at our local garden, and the visit to Grandma & Grandpa’s place for lunch, we decided to drive to the sea on our way home.

The Marginal is one of the nicest roads in the area, and we haven’t been able to drive there because we were not allowed to go past the city limits for months. Now we can, so we did.

There weather was crazy: torrential rain for two minutes, then blazing sunshine. Back to rain, and the sun would shine again.

tinyMovieStar slept all the way to the beach, and woke up just before we were parking. She was VERY surprised to see the ocean when she woke up, I guess she was expecting the familiar home. Not today!

We drove so slow it took us three hours to get there and back, triple what it would take on a regular day, at the usual speed.

I was knackered when we got home. movieStar took the baby for her afternoon walk, I stayed behind on the sofa. Thank you, movieStar.
