I’m old enough to remember when the quiet carriage on a train was just that. Not a convenient place for Jeremy or Susan to have their conference call, or for little Rupert to be ‘kept amused’ by an iPad playing at full volume.
This is resonating with me because I’m on a “sick of tools overthink” kick right now, and tools like this simply don’t let you think much about them.
In recent months I’ve been documenting old school Tokyo barber shops when out and about on photowalks. They are wonderfully dated establishments, with their colours, plants and signage making them an absolute joy to behold.
