We made it.
Hours after we left the city we made it down to the Algarve.

I can’t remember the last time I saw so many people on the highway, if I ever did! Seems like half the country picked this day to travel. It was truly crazy.
Service stations over capacity, traffic standing still on the highway…

But we made it, and were welcomed with open arms. It feels like home. Our friend arrived a little later, we had time to get some supplies and a dip in the pool. Lovely.
